Create Your Own News Feed

It is possible to create a hydroelectric industry specific search using Google News© to generate an RSS feed directly to your browser or email client.  First, connect to Google News©.

In the top search box type a search string - similar to that shown below.  In the box labeled "with all the words", type "hydroelectric".  In the box labeled "with at least one of the words", type "WA, OR, CA, ID, northwest".

Then - click the Google Search button.  This will generate a list of stories from Google News©, similar to what is displayed below:
 

Notice that on the left hand column, there is a link labeled RSS. If you click this button, you will be presented with the opportunity to "Subscribe to this feed":   

When you click the "Subscribe to this feed" button, your browser will present you with an option similar to this:
 

When you click "Subscribe" - you will get a screen similar to this:

Congratulations, you have successfully subscribed to an RSS News feed specifically tailored to generating news about the hydroelectric industry.  You will see this feed listed in your browser:
 

When you click on the highlighted feed, it will display in your browser with links you can follow to the individual news stories.
