System Engineer – Copper Valley Electric Association

Provide system engineering and technical support for the Transmission & Distribution and Generation Departments. Ensure efficient use of resources and that operation, installation, and maintenance of the transmission and distribution system is performed in a safe, efficient, and economical manner. Provide medium- and long-range planning for maintenance, operation, and improvement of the distribution and transmission facilities. Manage large projects for the Cooperative. El Dorado Irrigation District seeks an experienced, journey-level Senior Hydroelectric System Technician. The successful candidate will performs highly skilled technical duties involving the operations and maintenance of the District’s hydroelectric plant; maintains, troubleshoots repairs and operates equipment associated with the hydroelectric powerhouse and water conveyance system; and calculates and schedules the selling of power.

Civil Engineering Assistant - City of Seattle

$29.05 - $31.41 hr

The civil engineering assistant position is located in the Power Production Division of Seattle City Light and supports eight hydroelectic facilities that generate electrical power for the City of Seattle. While located in the Power Production Division the Civil Engineering Unit also provides engineering support acrosse all divisions of the utility including distribution, transmission, facilities, and environmental affairs. This position will report to the Civil Engineering Supervisor.

Hydro Project Mechanics - City of Tacoma

$42.90 hr

The City of Tacoma is creating a civil service employment list for Hydroelectric Project Mechanic positions at the Cushman Hydroelectric Project. Hydroelectric Project Mechanics perform skilled work in the journey-level maintenance and repair of hydroelectric project equipment, fisheries equipment, apparatus, fixtures, structures, heavy equipment and vehicles. The position requires the combined skills of a mechanic, machinist, millwright, welder and working knowledge of industrial refrigeration, air-conditioning and basic electricity. Work is performed indoors and outdoors and in high or confined places or near high voltage power lines. Expectations are that new employees will be able to report within 30 minutes to the Cushman Hydroelectric Project near the town of Potlatch, south of Hoodsport, WA, for emergency call outs.

Hydro Utility Worker - City of Tacoma

The Cushman Hydroelectric Project is accepting applications for Hydroelectric Utility Worker positions. This is semi-skilled labor involving a variety of tasks related to maintenance, repair and operation of hydroelectric plant facilities, recreational facilities, and fish hatcheries. The positions will be located near Hoodsport, WA. Requires completion of an electrical or industrial program from community or vocational college and 6 months’ work experience in construction trades; OR 2 yrs experience in construction trades.
