The Technical Committee of NWHA in conjunction with the Hydro Operators Forum are pleased to announce the 2021 Technical Workshop and Owners Forum will be held virtually May 11-13, 2021.
This three-day workshop will focus on a cross-section of topics specific to owners and operators of hydropower projects. The workshop is tailored to project managers, plant operators, technically focused engineers, supply chain vendors, as well as any staff at utilities that would benefit from deep dives into subjects surrounding operations and maintenance.
Beginning in 2021 NWHA and the Hydro Operators Forum will be cohosting the events to ensure as many attendees, members, and sponsors can engage with this highly technical content specific to the hydropower industry.
The workshop tour will feature a tour of the California Department of Water Resource's System and Thermalito Project. Thermalito came back online in February 2021 after a fire ravished the facility in 2012. The tour will feature the latest upgrades, lessons learned, and how CADWR is incorporating increase project efficiency and water conservation.
