Professional Bio
Leska Fore is the Aquatic Resources Strategic Advisor in the Science Policy Unit at Seattle City Light. Their work includes serving as Environmental Lead for the Cedar Falls Hydroelectric Project, lead for the utility’s Aquatic Invasive Species program, and supporting regulatory compliance for hydropower operations under the Clean Water Act. Previously, Leska worked at the Puget Sound Partnership and as an independent statistical consultant, collaborating with federal, Tribal, state, and local partners to develop water quality standards for fish, coral, diatoms, invertebrates, and plants across bays, streams, rivers, and lakes. Leska is particularly interested in how scientific methods are communicated and applied to protect both natural resources and critical infrastructure.
