Professional Bio
Mariah is an Aquatic Resource Biologist for Douglas County PUD, based in East Wenatchee, WA, where she focuses on Pacific Lamprey, water quality issues, and all resident fish species. Mariah greatly enjoys working with native fish species, especially those that are often under appreciated. While she has been in central Washington for over 10 years, Mariah previously travelled the country and world doing fisheries work, including serving two years as an aquaculture specialist in Zambia with the US Peace Corps, obtaining a graduate degree from Montana State University, and holding fisheries technician positions at several National Parks.
