Michael Campbell

I have more than 30 years of experience helping hydropower clients obtain water quality approvals and find solutions to regulatory problems related to water quality. My practice includes Clean Water Act (CWA) section 401 certifications, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) wastewater and stormwater permits, state discharge permits, CWA section 404 and state fill permits, and the defense of agency enforcement actions and citizen suits. I also represent trade associations and client coalitions in the development of water quality standards and regulations. To all these efforts, I aim to bring a deep understanding of client needs and technical issues, as well as a respectful, problem-solving approach to working with regulatory agencies and other parties.
