Professional Bio

Nic holds an MSc from Université de Belfort-Montbéliard in France and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Université Laval in Canada. He joined Alstom in 2010 as an electrical design engineer in the generator team in Sorel-Tracy. He transferred to the US Denver office in 2012 to support the development of the Service business working mainly on generator rewinds, repairs and condition assessments . He joined the program management team in 2016 to focus on the development of generator cost out competitiveness initiatives with the Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Site teams. In 2017, Nic left GE to work for Iris Power, as a rotating machine Engineer, where he mainly performed online/offline partial discharge, air gap, rotor flux and vibration testing and monitoring system installation, as well as customer trainings. In 2020, he joined the ABB Hydro team as an Application Engineer, to support the team with the costing and the project execution of generator restack, rewind and pole refurbishment projects. In 2022, Nic re-joined the GE Hydro Service team as a Hydro Services Manager in the Western Hub. When he is not working, Nic enjoys spending time outside with his family hiking, biking, climbing, exploring, fishing or foraging in the mountains of Colorado or the deserts of Utah.
