Riley is the operations manager for Idaho Power Company’s fish hatchery program. In this role, he coordinates with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s hatchery management staff in planning fish production, manages data for IPC’s monitoring and evaluation program, and assists IPC’s engineering staff with hatchery renovations. He helped to develop Idaho Power’s Snake River White Sturgeon repatriation aquaculture program and continues to manage it alongside the hatchery staff. Riley earned a B.S. in Ecology from Central Washington University in 2012. While pursuing his degree, he held numerous seasonal positions for IDFG in the fish hatchery and pathology realms. This experience, along with a two-year stint as a fish culturist at the Sawtooth Fish Hatchery, has helped him take on the challenges he faces today.
