Roger Clarke-Johnson

Roger has over 44 years' experience in Renewable Energy, including 38 years specializing in hydroelectric governors, unit controls, and hydraulic systems. He possesses a thorough, detailed knowledge of every type of hydro governor: mechanical, analog, and digital. The arc of his career spans small and large hydro governor companies alike: Digitek, Woodward Governor, General Electric, American Governor, Emerson and Mercury Governor. Throughout his career Roger has contributed to the body of knowledge of the hydropower community by serving on multiple national technical committees: ASME PTC-29, IEEE 125, IEEE 1207, and ASME HPTC (co-chair). He also regularly serves on the steering committees of prominent national hydropower conventions. Roger has presented technical papers at domestic and international hydropower conferences and has conducted numerous Hydro Governor training classes in the US, Canada, Ireland and the Philippines.
