We are happy to have Dan Bingham, a Geneticist from Cramer Fish Sciences, scheduled for May 20 to present “Applied Genetics for Hydropower: Using eDNA and Population Genetics to Inform Monitoring, Compliance, and Conservation.”

In his presentation, Dan will highlight how genetic tools like environmental DNA (eDNA) and population genetics are being applied to real-world hydropower and fisheries management challenges. It will focus on practical case studies showing how these approaches inform species detection, community composition, life history diversity, population structure, connectivity, and predation dynamics. The goal is to demonstrate how genetics can directly support regulatory compliance and monitoring programs.
