Elizabeth McCormick

As a partner in Troutman Pepper Locke’s hydropower practice, Elizabeth helps clients navigate complex energy infrastructure proceedings before FERC, with a particular focus on hydropower and natural gas matters. She advises project developers, utilities, and other stakeholders on a wide range of federal energy and environmental statutes, including the Federal Power Act, the Natural Gas Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Historic Preservation Act. Drawing on nearly six years of experience in FERC’s Office of the General Counsel, she leverages her work with federal and state agencies, Native American tribes, community and landowner groups, and NGOs to guide clients through the federal permitting process efficiently and effectively.
